Iconix has announced a ten-year extension of UMBRO’s licensing agreement with long-time partner Grupo Dass in South America.

The renewal gives Grupo Dass the continued license to design, manufacture and distribute UMBRO apparel. As part of the deal, Grupo Dass will continue to make performance and lifestyle apparel, footwear and equipment for the brand in Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay.

“Thanks to the combination of our expertise with sports brands and UMBRO’s authentic football heritage, the brand has thrived in the Latin American market,” says Vilson Hermes, President, Grupo Dass. “We are confident that our partnership with UMBRO will continue to be valuable for many years to come.”

The UMBRO clothing brand was established in 1924 by Harold and Wallace Humphrey. Today, the football brand is worn by professionals and fans in regions across the globe. The brand was most recently leveraged in a partnership with football star Ashlyn Harris for a co-branded collection.
