The Fédération Internationale de Football Association has appointed Pacific Licensing Studio to represent the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil in Asia Pacific.

Pacific Licensing will manage the event’s licensing in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Philippines, India, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea, and will work with sub-agent Dream Theatre in India.

Pacific Licensing will also work with department store and sporting goods retailers in these regions to appoint Official Event Store partners.

Product is expected to begin rolling out in the first quarter of 2014, in advance of the June 12, 2014 open of the FIFA World Cup.

“Southeast Asia has some of the most dedicated and enthusiastic football fans anywhere, and we’re so pleased to be working with FIFA to bring this great and historic sporting event to this part of the world,” says Neal Rudge, partner, Pacific Licensing. “Not everyone is lucky enough to travel to the World Cup, but through well-designed and appropriately priced official licensed product, we will make sure that fans across Asia will have the opportunity to own an individual memento of the tournament.”

The 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil will take place June 12, 2014 through July 13, 2014, in Rio de Janiero, Brazil, as well as 11 other host cities across the country.
