Fitness equipment manufacturer Cirrus Fitness has launched a line of branded workout equipment featuring the colors and logos of universities across the U.S.

The line was created in partnership with collegiate rights holders the Collegiate Licensing Company, Licensing Resource Group and SMA, and includes a full range of fitness equipment from exercise mats to stability balls and medicine balls.

"Fitness equipment is currently a black and gray generic market with no brand identity, and we saw the opportunity as a chance to make equipment personally relevant to the user," says Jay Sapovits, chief executive officer and president, Cirrus Fitness. "For the first time, your home gym can look and feel like your favorite teams."

Cirrus beta-launched the products at the University of Wisconsin, Syracuse University and the University of Georgia in late 2012. Since then, it has expanded its offerings across the country in partnership with more than 100 colleges and universities such as the University of Alabama, University of Florida, Ohio State University, University of Michigan and the University of Kentucky.
