Authentic Brands Group's youth lifestyle brand Airwalk has signed on as the official footwear and apparel sponsor of the action sports festival Dew Tour.

Airwalk will be featured in Dew Tour’s national marketing and events programs, which span broadcast, print, social media, digital and live events, and will also be features in on-site activations at Dew Tour events from June through December 2015.

Airwalk’s onsite activations will include an interactive booth that takes fans on a journey through time and skate, showcasing the evolution of the brand. Fans will also get a sneak peek of the next generation of Airwalk coming to market in 2016 to commemorate the brand’s 30th anniversary.

Andy McDonald, skateboarder and long-time Airwalk ambassador, will take part in Dew Park competitions, conducting meet-and-greets and posing for photos with fans.

The Dew Tour will travel to three U.S. cities this year and showcase the best of skate, BMX and snow/winter sports. The season kicks off with the first of three marquee events launching in Chicago, Ill., on June 20 at Grant Park Skate Plaza. Later this summer the tour will travel for the first time to Los Angeles, Calif., where it will takeover the downtown area from Aug. 14-16 and become the hub of skate culture, activities, and events. The 2015 tour will conclude in Colorado at the Breckenridge Ski Resort, a veteran Dew Tour host featuring superpipe, slopesytle, and other snowboard and freeski events between Dec. 10-13.

“Airwalk is a leader in the action sports community,” says Nick Woodhouse, president and chief marketing officer, ABG and owner of Airwalk. “The Dew Tour provides a truly authentic vehicle for original fans and newcomers to connect with Airwalk, while trying back to the brand’s deep-rooted skate heritage.”
