LIMA Names New Members to Board

In addition, Jay Asher, partner, Brandgenuity, has been elected to serve as vice chairman and JJ Ahearn, managing director, Licensing Street, has been tapped to serve as board designate to the executive committee. Both have been elected for one-year terms.

The LIMA membership has also elected six new members to begin terms on the LIMA board, effective July 1, including Liza Abrams, Sakar International; Naz Amarchi-Cuevas, SYBO Games; Sam Ferguson, Jazwares; Bill Patterson, OpSec Security; Jason Sutton, Polaroid; and Takanori Ueno, Laura Ashely Japan.

First, Conair Corporation has signed on to manufacture a line of Sharper Image-branded haircare and beauty products for men and women that will include shavers, razors, trimmers, nail care, curling irons, curling wands, flat irons, hot air brushes, specialty stylers and more.

Allstar Products Group will create Sharper Image-branded electronics, wellness products and home goods to be rolled out through infomercials.

Meanwhile, Vornado Air (recently acquired by the Three Sixty Group) will develop a line of Sharper Image-branded home heaters and fans.

Mystic Apparel has partnered with a line of smart pet accessories that will include bedding, toys, apparel, feeding, grooming, storage, waste disposal, leashes.

Finally, Aerus has teamed for a line of branded HEPA air purifiers.

'Wild Kratts' Swings into Old Navy

The new apparel offerings will include short-sleeved boys t-shirts in sizes 12 months to 5T beginning this fall. The Wild Kratts product range will later expand to Canada, other territories and e-commerce.

Additionally, The Kratt Brothers Company has renewed its partnerships with licensees Wicked Cool Toys, Pressman and Whole Foods Market.

Wicked Cool Toys is on board to expand its offerings in the U.S. and Canada, while Pressman will broaden its lineup with more puzzles and games.

Whole Foods, meanwhile, will launch a variety of new products. The brand’s partnership with Whole Foods launched in 2016 and has since expanded twice, most recently with cereal and fruit snacks for back-to-school 2017. The “Wild Kratts” grocery offerings are also now available on Amazon.

ITV Studios Global Entertainment has teamed up with Kuato Studios to develop an app based on its new boys’ action series “Robozuna.”

The new app allows children to personalize their own Combatabots and to battle their creations in the Robozuna arena by using coded movements.

The app is set to be released this fall on iOS and Android and will coincide with the series premiere. “Robozuna” follows the adventures of 14-year-old Ariston and his homemade robot, Mangle.

 Only a Real Trekkie Can Guess Who’s Headlining This Year's 'Trekonderoga'

CBS Consumer Products has announced Karl Urban as the headline act for its “Star Trek: The Original Series Set Tour” event “Trekonderoga 2018.”

The actor, who played Dr. Leonard in the franchise’s eponymous 2009 film, will be available for photo opportunities, autographs and more alongside a collection of recreated Starship Enterprise sets.

The annual two-day event also offers fans the opportunity to meet various celebrity guests and to partake in themed activities including a scale-model contest, trivia panel and cosplay contest.

“Trekonderoga 2018" will take place Aug. 24-26 in Ticonderoga, New York.
