Ralph Supercharges VR Experience

Ralph Supercharges VR Experience

The Void and ILMxLAB, Lucasfilm’s immersive entertainment division, helped to create the program with Disney Animation Studio. The Ralph-themed VR experience, dubbed "Ralph Breaks VR," immerses guests in the film alongside characters Wreck-It Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz. The game will offer groups of four the chance to launch pancakes and milkshakes at evil bunnies, kittens and drones.

Players will be disguised as “netizens” as they break into the internet to go on a roughly 30-minute adventure. “You basically have to try to get out of the internet alive before you’re eradicated as a virus,” says Pamela Ribon, writer, "Ralph Breaks VR" and co-writer, Ralph Breaks the Internet.

“You don’t have to know any of the characters to experience this. It’s in the world that we have for the sequel, but it’s not dependent on the sequel to have a good time.” The "Ralph Breaks VR" experience is open at Downtown Disney at Disneyland, Disney Springs at Walt Disney World and other locations across the country this week. Tickets for “Ralph Breaks VR” are on sale now at www.TheVoid.com. The Void and ILMxLAB collaborated last year to create the Star Wars: Secrets of the Empire VR experience.

Ralph Breaks the Internet is in theatres now.
