Performance Brands has secured the first licensee for the R. F. Scott brand, in a new partnership with Blacks Retail Outdoor.

Robert Falcon Scott was a Royal Navy officer and explorer who led two expeditions to the Antarctic regions in the 19th century. Now the explorer is heading to a line outdoor gear in the U.K.

"We are embarking on a number of products that will have the authenticity and technical attributes that our customers would expect to see in a brand connected with one of the world’s most famous explorers,” says Cam March, marketing director, Blacks. “Blacks will work with the team at R.F. Scott to design products that the next generation of explorers would be happy to wear on future expeditions in the U.K. or abroad."
