Etsy has launched its first brick and mortar shop at Macy’s Herald Square in New York City.
The Etsy Shop features a curated selection of items such as stationery, jewelry and homewares, from eight Etsy sellers including five unique items designed exclusively for Macy’s. The Etsy Shop will feature new products every six to eight weeks, focusing on a different theme during each selling cycle.
The new shop points to growing trend among e-commerce retailers toward brick-and-mortar locations.
According to The Guardian, other online retailers such as Amazon and Warby Parker, have opened physical stores as a way to increase awareness of their brand.
