
Toy retailer plans global events in honor of Force Friday.

On what is being referred to as Force Friday, Sept. 4, Toys 'R' Us locations in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Poland, Portugal, Spain, the U.S. and the U.K. will open for midnight festivities so fans can be among the first to purchase new merchandise and immerse themselves in all things
Star Wars
.

Leading up to Force Friday, stores in each of the above-mentioned countries will host a count down to Force Friday and
Star Wars
-themed microsites on each of their respective e-commerce pages.

The international flagship store, Toys 'R' Us Times Square in New York City, will host a
Star Wars
toy exhibition leading up to the midnight
Star Wars
toys in the world, curated by Rancho Obi-Wan, a non-profit museum that houses the Guinness World Record-certified largest collection of
Star Wars
memorabilia. Presented prominently throughout the store, “Destination: Star Wars–The Experience” will be on display from Aug. 26 through Sept. 7.
