Sinking Ship Entertainment is expanding its Dino Dan property with broadcast and consumer products deals in North America. The Licensing Shop manages Dino Dan’s licensing.

The first mass-market toy launch for the property hits stores in March, featuring seven new dinosaur toys at a national specialty retail chain in the U.S. and specialty stores in Canada.

Sinking Ship Interactive will introduce the first Dino Dan app entitled “Dino Defence” on iTunes in March.

NCircle will release a second “Dino Dan” DVD in March, available at Toys 'R' Us, Walmart, Best Buy, Target, Kmart and other retailers.

Broadcast partners for the second season of the series include Nick Jr. (U.S.), TVO (Canada) and TVA (French Canada). The first season of “Dino Dan” premiered in 2009 on Canada's TVO; and on Nickelodeon’s Nick Jr. in the U.S. and Nickelodeon Australia in 2010. The show has also aired on Alberta’s ACCESS, The Knowledge Network in BC and Saskatchewan’s SCN.

"We’re thrilled to get the chance to make another season of dino-fuelled adventures," says J.J. Johnson, creator of Dino Dan and partner at Sinking Ship Entertainment. "With 16 new dinosaurs including four marine reptiles, we’re sure that this season, Dan’s imagination is going to take kids on an even greater dinosaur journey."
