The new service-focused concept store will feature a 3,000-square-foot layout, compared to the average 140,000-square-foot Nordstrom store, and will have no dedicated inventory. Instead, customers will have access to personal stylists as well as a suite of services such as buy online, pick up in-store; on-site alterations and tailoring; same-day delivery and curbside pickup; manicure services; on-site refreshments; and more. Consumers will also be able to make returns at Nordstrom Local from Nordstrom stores, Nordstrom.com and Trunk Club.

The first Nordstrom Local experience will launch in West Hollywood, Calif., at 8401 Melrose Place on Oct. 3.
