The toy retailer will fete the network’s Worldwide Day of Play with on-site activities, sweepstakes and more.

NORTH AMERICA–Toys “R” Us and Nickelodeon have teamed up to launch a series of events, a toy sweepstakes and more to encourage kids to play in celebration of Nickelodeon’s Worldwide Day of Play, Sept. 30.

Throughout August and September, five TRU locations in the U.S. will host outdoor “Time to Play” events, which will include Slime photo stations, giant inflatables, obstacles courses and more. Locations include: TRU Mesquite in Mesquite, Texas; TRU Castleton in Indianapolis, Ind.; TRU Totowa in Totowa, N.J.; TRU Bay Parkway in Brooklyn, N.Y.; and TRU Brandon in Brandon, Fla.

TRU will also host a “Free Play of the Week” sweepstakes, which see children enter for a chance to win each week’s prize from brands like Barbie, Nerf and more. The sweepstakes will kick off Sept. 4.
