Children's specialty apparel retailer The Children's Place has signed a franchise agreement with Arvind Lifestyle Brands to open stores in India.

Children's specialty apparel retailer The Children's Place has signed a franchise agreement with Arvind Lifestyle Brands to open stores in India.

The partnership will the opening of up to 50 stores in the country beginning in fall 2015.

“We are excited to be partnering with Arvind, which has a proven track record of operating successful apparel brands in India,” says Jane Elfers, president and chief executive officer, The Children's Place. “We are making significant strides in our international franchise business, and we remain focused on providing great fashion and value for kids around the world.”

“The Children's Place will be the first of its kind children's retail format in India,” says Sanjay Lalbhai, chairman and managing director, Arvind. “It will be a one stop shop for children sizes 0 to 14, and we are delighted to bring The Children's Place to India.”
