Off-price apparel and homewares retailer TJX Companies acquired the Australia off-price women's wear chain Trade Secret from Gazal Corporation for AUD $80 million.

The acquisition gives TJX an opportunity to enter the Australian market, where it currently operates one of its 13 buying offices. TJX expects the transaction to close by the end of the calendar year.
