Line Friends and Tycoon Enterprises have entered an agreement to develop the consumer products and brand extension business for BT21 in Mexico, Chile and Peru.

BT21 is the first character IP developed as part of a long-term strategy to create a new type of business based on the uniqueness of global artists from different fields via a project called Friends Creators.

The brand already sells in New York, Los Angeles, Korea, Japan, Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and the U.K. Branded pop-up shops for BT21 are expected to open in various regions in the near future.

Products in the BT21 line include backpacks, pins, tees, consumer electronics and homewares. The collection is also a top performer at Amazon and Hot Topic.

“The talent displayed by Line Friends to create and give life to characters in a variety of fields is truly exceptional,” says Elias Fasja, president and founder, Tycoon. “We are delighted to bring Latin American consumers closer to the brands they love and look forward to the launch of our first lines of BT21 merchandise.”

In the past, Line Friends has collaborated with other brands including Bang&Olufsen, Leica, Lepetto, Converse, LAMY and Brompton. Tycoon boasts clients such as “Angry Birds,” Tetris, “Family Guy” and “Assassin’s Creed.”
