Dick’s Sporting Goods will open its first Field & Stream specialty retail store Aug. 16, in Cranberry Township, Pa.

Dick’s acquired the Field & Stream hunting, fishing, camping and paddle trademarks in September 2012, for which it had previously been the exclusive licensee. The brand is anchored by the 118-year-old Field & Stream magazine, which is owned by Bonnier Corporation. Field & Stream Licenses retains the rights to its lifestyle brand.

The new Field & Stream store will offer an assortment of outdoor equipment and accessories, as well as services in hunting, fishing, archery and camping.

"We are proud to open our initial Field & Stream store in Cranberry Township," says Jack Barnes, general merchandise manager, Field & Stream. "We look forward to providing great brands, products and customer service to all outdoor enthusiasts."

The grand opening weekend in August will feature a number of activities, giveaways and celebrity appearances that will kick off with a performance by musician Thomas Rhett. Customers will also be able to learn tips and techniques from professional anglers at the 4,000-gallon Field & Stream bass tank and practice at the Field & Stream archery trailer.
