Universal CityWalk Adds Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe and Sanrio Smile Shop

Universal CityWalk Hollywood is adding a splash of pink and a global pop icon to its entertainment hub. On Sept.6, the Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe, along with the Sanrio Smile Shop, will officially open, offering fans a unique blend of dining and retail experiences.

The cafe, featuring Hello Kitty’s signature bow and pastel decor, will offer grab-and-go sweet treats and specialty beverages. Meanwhile, the Sanrio Smile Shop will cater to fans of the Hello Kitty brand and its characters like Cinnamoroll, Kuromi and My Melody, offering exclusive merchandise ranging from plush toys to collectible pins. The shop also features an in-store photo op spotlighting Hello Kitty and the Sanrio characters.

The Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe is the first to open in Los Angeles and is adjacent to the new Sanrio Smile Shop.
