Random House Children's Books has partnered with Mattel to release its first original coloring and activity app, “Barbie Color, Sparkle and Style,” now available in the Apple App Store for iPad.

The Barbie coloring app includes new art tools, special effects and pages of Barbie artwork that let girls color, decorate, design and dress-up Barbie in a new way.

The app includes two coloring books with 16 pages of art and a multitude of art tools including the Barbie Bubble Wand, the Glitterizer, the Fabric Fill and the Pattern Roller.

The Design Shop within the app offers additional coloring books and art supplies for purchase, and finished coloring pages can be shared through e-mail, Facebook or Twitter.

The new app follows the release of two interactive Barbie storybooks from Random House in September, Barbie: The Princess & the Popstar and Barbie Princess Charm School.
