Yoto has announced the expansion of its content library to include the complete Mercy Watson audiobook series, a New York Times best-selling series of six chapter books by award-winning author, Kate DiCamillo. The audiobooks chronicle the endearing and unforgettable adventures of the mischievous pig, Mercy Watson.

The Mercy Watson series is the latest addition to Yoto’s content library from Penguin Random House Audio’s Listening Library imprint that brings an array of offerings from bestselling authors to Yoto families. This release follows three other bestselling launches on Yoto from Kate DiCamillo: “The Tale of Despereaux,” “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane and Louise” and “The Adventures of a Chicken.”

“We’re extremely pleased to expand our relationship with Penguin Random House Audio and Listening Library to make this highly requested childhood classic accessible to hundreds of thousands of Yoto listeners,” says Larissa Helena, head of content acquisition, North America, Yoto. “Ron McLarty’s narration renders Kate DiCamillo’s delightful storytelling perfectly into audio format, inviting young listeners to laugh along with the adventures of the porcine wonder.”

“We’re pleased to work with Yoto to bring more audiobooks like the Mercy Watson series to new generations of young listeners,” says Lance Fitzgerald, senior vice president, editorial and business development, Penguin Random House Audio.

The collection of stories will be available as a Yoto card pack from July 18 and is suitable for listeners aged 5-8.
