The year-long experience will transform the vacation destination into a family-friendly adventure.

EUROPE–Bear Hunt Films and Walker Books have partnered with Visit Isle of Wight, the island’s official tourist organization, for a year-long family experience inspired by the book and film We’re Going on a Bear Hunt.

The agreement will see a series of specially-themed weekends and adventure trails designed to attract families to the British island and will re-create scenes from the story.

“We’re Going on a Bear Hunt is all about finding adventures in the great outdoors and the Isle of Wight is the perfect place for that. It’s synonymous with the book’s landscapes and values in many ways, so when the team from Visit Isle of Wight contacted us about this opportunity we were delighted as it makes a natural fit,” says Julia Posen, commercial director, Walker Books.

The event will also coincide with the Island’s 175th year celebration.
