The Very Hungry Caterpillar Crawls into Teva Kidswear Pact

Teva has launched a children’s sandal collection inspired by Eric Carle's

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

book series.

The collection merges the Hurricane XLT2 fashion style with the colorful world of

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

. Available in both kids and toddler sizes, the water-ready sandals are made from Repreve recycled polyester webbing and an EVA foam footbed.

Debuting alongside the Hurricane XLT2 model is the kids' ember moc slip-on featuring a custom print inspired by the book. The ember moc offers a collapsible heel for secure wearing options, stretchy elastic gore for a slipper-like fit and a water-resistant upper for easy cleaning.

"Some of my most cherished memories from childhood are of taking walks in the forest with my father,” says Carle. “I am delighted to collaborate with Teva and love the idea of sandals for the young explorer and time outdoors with family and friends.”

Teva’s collaboration comes during the 50th anniversary of

The Very Hungry Caterpillar

. In honor of the milestone,

the brand has also partnered with brands such as

JoJo Maman Bébé

for kidswear collections.
