PrivateCollection&Co has tapped Versa Licensing to bring Marie Claire-branded product to Mexico.
Versa Licensing will manufacture and distribute a full range of product that will include women’s ready-to-wear apparel, bags, luggage, small leather goods, bed and home linens, cellphone accessories and belts.
The move is part of PrivateCollection’s plan to expand the magazine’s reach in North America with extensions into homewares, apparel and accessories and stationery. Deals for brand extensions into hotels, spas and cafes are also in the works.
“Marie Claire is a very successful global brand that quickly attracted the attention of high profile licensees like Richline Group and Versa Licensing with decades of experience in marketing and manufacturing mass consumer products,” says Elena Baronoff, chairman, PrivateCollection. “We look forward to seeing continued success in North America and helping to raise Marie Claire’s global profile as a ubiquitous lifestyle brand.”
