Scholastic has signed on to created a publishing program for DRi’s Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand Kimmidoll.

Beginning in January 2014, Scholastic is planning a range of titles targeted to girls ages 4 to 8 that will kick off with two sticker books. Those will be followed by a press-out-and-play book along with search book in April and a 2015 annual in August.

"We are delighted to welcome Scholastic to the Kimmidoll licensing program, which is rapidly gaining momentum,” says Alicia Davenport, licensing director, DRi Licensing. "Kimmidoll Junior is much-loved by young girls and we're extremely excited about the launch of new books from this long established and well-respected children's publisher. And with a host of imminent signings lined up, the Kimmidoll brand will continue to go from strength to strength in the coming months."

Among the other licensees for the brand are Enesco in the U.K. with a range of collectibles and gifting items, Elite Gift Boxes for tin giftware, U.K. Greetings for cards and stationery and Portico Designs for calendars.
