Scholastic has expanded its multi-platform publishing program with the worldwide launch of Horizon, a supernatural survival series for readers, ages 9 and up.

The new adventure will combine books with a digital game that allows readers to test their survival skills through altered physics, the ability to build lifesaving gadgets and more.

The new hardcover book series is expected to launch simultaneously in the U.S., U.K., Australia, New Zealand and Canada next January, with a second book planned for September 2017.
