'Scheme Big': The Grinch to Steal Barnes and Noble this Holiday
Dr. Seuss Enterprises’ The Grinch franchise will take over Barnes & Noble retail locations across the U.S. this holiday season.
The deal was made in association with Penguin Random House Children's Books.
Beginning today, 536 stores will feature exclusive holiday ornaments, puzzles, books, games and toys centered on Christmas’ famous foe, including an exclusive edition of the How The Grinch Stole Christmas, a Grinch holiday ornament and Grinch & Friends snow globe.
The retailer will also host a Grinch storytime series on Nov. 3.
“Kids around the country love hearing Dr. Seuss’ tale of the Grinch who stole Christmas before his heart grew three sizes during the holidays, which is why we’re so excited to have these exclusive Grinch books, ornaments and toys this holiday season,” says Stephanie Fryling, vice president, merchandising, children’s books, Barnes & Noble. “We think customers will love these special Dr. Seuss products, as well as the kids’ section takeovers and displays in our stores.”
The Grinch movie is set to debut in theaters Nov. 9.
