The new program, titled

Ranger Rick’s

Reading Adventures, will allow teachers and students to utilize the content and photography from the

Ranger Rick

magazine in order to enhance teaching and learning across reading, writing and science for elementary students.

Elements of the educational program, which is available in three kits (levels A, B, C), include 60 non-fiction readers (six copies of 10 titles); 36 fiction and non-fiction adventure cards (six copies of six titles); a 240-page teacher resource book with standards-based reading, writing and science activities; and a CD with reproducible activity pages and correlations.

Furthermore, to complement the educational materials, Teacher Created Resources has also created classroom decorative products to help bring the curriculum to life and develop a sense

of classroom community.

“Through

Ranger

Rick

magazines, books and resources, our goal is to encourage reading and science skills that prepare the next generation of biologists, naturalists and everyday environmentalists,” says Deana Duffek, head, brand licensing, National Wildlife Federation. “Our partnership with Teacher Created Resource equips educators and students with all-new classroom materials that showcase relatable characters and experiences for young learners.

Ranger

Rick’s

Reading Adventures adheres to core instructional strategies and standards-aligned content that will make an impact in a child’s learning path in the classroom and beyond.”

Ranger Rick’s

Reading Adventures is now available to classrooms throughout the U.S.
