U.K. animal charity Battersea Dogs & Cats Home has expanded its partnership with Random House Children’s Books to include color picture books and activity/sticker books.

Award-winning artist Jason Chapman will illustrate a series of original stories about the Home for young children.

“We are really thrilled to extend our relationship with Random House and are looking forward to working on this exciting new series for young children especially as royalties from sales will support Battersea in its work of caring for thousands of lost, unwanted and abandoned dogs and cats every year,” says Lucy McCredie, licensing consultant, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

RHCB has already published the Home’s young fiction series. Other publishing partners for the non-profit include Penguin, which will publish a collection of adult non-fiction Battersea stories in early 2014, and Octopus Publishing, which is developing the guide book Battersea Dogs & Cats Home Guide to Choosing the Best Dog for You.

The new publishing deals are just part of Battersea’s plans to extend its licensing program. The company will present a range of new products and licenses Brand Licensing Europe, which will take place October 15-17 in London.
