Fluid World brokers new deals for World of Web character.

Word of Web and U.K. agent Fluid World have added five new U.K. licensees in gifting, stationery, greeting cards and confectionery for the Internet character, Pusheen the Cat.

Hype Associates will launch a range of greeting cards, gift wrap and gift tags this month into independent gift, card and book retailers; while Gemma will produce a range of standalone cards, gift wrap and miscellaneous occasion captions. Gemma’s collection will hit independent, mid and high-end retailers in September.

Blueprint Collections will design and distribute a collection of notebooks, pens, pencils, stationery sets, key rings, photo albums, bags, backpacks, mugs, money boxes, umbrellas and more. The line is slated to hit stationery specialty stores, fashion outlets and high street retailers in July.

Bluw will design and manufacture a Pusheen a diverse gift range that includes storage tins, mugs, aprons, egg cups, lunch boxes, party paperware, plates, cups, thank-you notes, air fresheners, a make-your-own Pusheen cookie kit and more. The collection will appear in department, fashion and mid-tier stores in fall/winter.

Finally, Kinnerton is planning a confectionery range for spring 2017. The new range of sweets will include seasonal chocolate items including Easter eggs and Advent calendars.

Other new additions to Pusheen’s U.K. licensing program include apparel (which was announced in February), home textiles, toiletries, watches, ceramics, jewelry and accessories.

“Fluid World has done a great job of building a strong U.K. licensing base for Pusheen–and this is only the start,” says Fuad Khan, founding director, Word of Web. “Pusheen’s universal appeal means we expect much more in the U.K. and similarly spectacular growth across many other markets which will soon be announced.”
