Penguin Young Readers, a division of Penguin Random House, in partnership with Ford Motor Company, has announced the release of a new series of children’s books inspired by fan-favorite vehicles. The deal, brokered via a collaboration between CAA Books and CAA Brand Management, both divisions of Creative Artists Agency (CAA), expands Ford’s children’s program this fall. The series kicked off with the publication of the bedtime picture book, “The Good Night Truck,” written by Charlie Moon and illustrated by Jen Taylor, and continues in November, with the release of three board books for the youngest readers: concept board books, “Ford: Colors” and “Ford: Numbers,” and the shaped, wheeled board book, “Ford: Road Trip!,” written by Gabriella DeGennaro with illustrations by Yi-Hsuan Wu and Emilie Lapeyre.
“The Good Night Truck” has been published simultaneously in a Spanish language edition. Additional Ford board and activity book releases are planned throughout 2025.
“Beyond their tremendous cars and trucks, Ford’s commitment to help build a better world aligns with Penguin Young Readers’ own purpose of creating books that make a difference for every reader,” says Daniel Moreton, vice president, publisher for brands and licenses, Penguin Workshop. “From bedtime stories to concept board books and more, this series truly has a book for every young Ford fan, and we can’t wait to share them.”
“We’re thrilled to partner with Penguin in a new category for our licensing program to bring these new books to young readers,” says Tyler Hill, global brand licensing senior manager, Ford. “This collaboration blends the joy of reading with the excitement of our iconic vehicles, creating a unique and engaging experience for children and parents alike.”
