McDonald's has partnered with Peanuts Worldwide to release a set of Happy Meal Books in celebration of National Literacy Month and the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
The four Happy Meal Books follow Snoopy as he explores outer space. The books will be available in restaurants nationwide just in time for next month's National Literacy Month celebration. Each book includes individual pages with fun, interactive activities.
Books available include:
- Snoopy Blasts Off;
- Snoopy's Constellation Quest;
- Snoopy the Mars Rover and
- Snoopy to the Moon.
"In July of 2018, Peanuts signed a Space Act Agreement with NASA and committed to working to bring the joys of space exploration and STEM into the lives of today's kids, and to honor the legacy of Snoopy's history with NASA," says Roz Nowicki, executive vice president, Peanuts Worldwide. "This promotion with one of the nation's most beloved restaurants brings that commitment to kids and families around the country who will be inspired by these fun and educational books."
The McDonald's partnership continues Peanuts’ efforts to celebrate the Apollo missions. Earlier this year the company, honored the Apollo 10 launch with a variety of event activations.
