Nurture Rights has tapped Random House Children’s Publishers U.K. to develop its classic picture book property Dinosaur Roar!.

Random House will re-launch the classic property in April 2014 to coincide with the title’s 20th anniversary.

“Random House has actively been seeking a major preschool character-based series,” says Sue Buswell, deputy publisher, children’s color and licensing, Random House. “Drawing on the expertise of the U.K.’s leading paleontologists, Dinosaur Roar! offers a unique and unprecedented opportunity to explore the authentic world of dinosaurs for the youngest, most dinosaur-hungry children.” The on-going publishing program will include a Dinosaur Roar! storybook range, color and activity books, board books and novelty books. The program will also include an international traveling exhibition and a range of merchandise.

“We are delighted to be working with Random House Children’s Publishers U.K. on Dinosaur Roar!,” says Curtis, director, Nurture Rights. “Random House has an unparalleled global reputation in children’s publishing and we look forward to developing an exciting range of Dinosaur Roar! books with them for the worldwide market.”

Dinosaur Roar! by Paul Stickland and Henrietta Stickland was first published in 1994 and became a publishing phenomenon with more than 5 million books sold worldwide.
