The National Geographic Society has selected New Jersey-based Mottahedeh to create porcelain dinnerware and gifts for its National Geographic Home brand in North America.

Under the multi-year agreement, Mottahedeh will launch a line of porcelain tableware and gifts that showcases National Geographic’s vast image archives and historical artwork. The new collections launched at the New York Tabletop Show this week.

“For more than a century, National Geographic Society explorers and photographers have traveled the world to capture and create stunning images and collect compelling stories,” says Krista Newberry, senior vice president of licensing, North America, National Geographic. “We are excited to work with Mottahedeh, a principal leader in the porcelain gift industry, to share our breathtaking original artwork with consumers.”

Net proceeds from the sale of the line will support exploration, conservation, research and education programs.
