Brand Talent will aim to expand the fashion magazine into categories including fashion accessories, bath and body, jewelry, luggage, stationery, eyewear, athleisure and table top.
“Marie Claire is a revered international brand with real meaning to its millions of readers,” says Leila Martyn, director, Brand Talent. “We already have some fantastic soon-to-be announced partners on-board and are excited to launch the licensing program, which will focus on beautiful must-have items that convey the importance of the Marie Claire brand.”
The first Marie Claire licensed merchandised is slated to launch in summer/spring 2017 with an initial focus on beauty. Further categories are planned to follow later in the year.
“With the power of the Marie Claire brand, we have the ability and authority to expand into many new areas,” says Justine Southall, managing director, fashion and beauty, Time Inc. U.K. “We have shown this with the launch of Fabled by Marie Claire, our premium beauty e-commerce business and flagship central London store in partnership with Ocado. We look forward to working with Brand Talent in exploring further exciting opportunities.”
