Andover Fabrics and The Queen’s Treasures are the latest additions to the merchandise program in the U.S. and Canada.
Andover Fabrics will create
Little House on the Prairie
fabrics for quilting. The company's first line will feature three different collections of prints inspired by the frontier lifestyle depicted in Wilder’s stories–Walnut Grove, named for the town in Minnesota where Laura’s family settled in 1874, Prairie Flowers, featuring bold calicos and Scenics and Icons, featuring iconic series imagery on natural finish fabric.
“
Little House on the Prairie
is a wonderful brand that naturally lends itself to crafting,” says Trip Friendly, chief executive officer of brand owner Friendly Family Productions. “Crafts–especially quilting, sewing, knitting and other activities depicted in the stories–are a great fit for the property,
Little House on the Prairie
fans everywhere.”
The Queen’s Treasures will produce dollhouses and doll accessories, including clothes and furniture for 15- and 18-inch dolls, inspired by
Little House on the Prairie
characters and settings. The company is also planning an 18-inch Laura Ingalls doll and doll wagon.
“From the start of working on this property, we envisioned dollhouses and the like for the brand,” says Carole Postal, co-president, Knockout Licensing. “The Queen’s Treasures really impressed us with their incredible vision for the product line as well as personal passion for the brand.”
