King Features Syndicate will now represent Argentinian cartoonist Ricardo Liniers.

The overall agreement will bring Liniers’ popular international daily comic strip, Macanudo into syndication for print, digital, entertainment and consumer product licensing.

The deal will also extend King’s reach in the Spanish-language market.

Under King Features, Macanudo will have an initial release of daily comic strips and color Sunday strips in September.

Macanudo originally appeared in the Argentine newspaper La Nacion in 2002. Additionally, Liniers’ work has been featured on covers of  The New Yorker as well as two children’s books in the U.S.
