Following high acclaim at BAFTA and Prix Jeunesse thanks to the expertise of NCETM (National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics), "Numberblocks" is a DfE (Department for Education)- a recommended resource for children learning essential arithmetic skills at home.

Created by Joe Elliot, commissioned by BBC Studios and co-produced by animation studios Blue Zoo and Alphablocks, "Numberblocks" is moving from screen to page this week following a magazine publishing deal with Immediate Media.

"We're really excited to be launching Numberblocks magazine," says Fiona Campbell, publisher, Immediate Media. "It's been the biggest brand in our CBeebies Specials titles with sales of 50,000 – 67,000 copies, among the highest in the preschool market. The reactions we've had to 'Numberblocks' from readers, parents, retailers and even teachers have been overwhelmingly positive. We're looking forward to helping even more children have fun and develop their confidence with numbers as they head into school and beyond!"

"Numberblocks magazine is the perfect way for young children to take the number fun and learning offscreen and get hands-on with the colorful print activities, coloring, stickering, stories and more that the Immediate team do so well. It's a very clever complement to the show," says Elliot.

The first issue of Numberblocks Magazine will land in newsagents and supermarkets this week on Sept. 8 and feature click-together blocks and activities to follow inside the magazine for kids to engage with brand on an entirely new level.
