Hoho Rights, the commercial arm of Hoho Entertainment, has secured the international licensing and merchandising rights to the publishing franchise Toddler Time.

First published by The Creative Studio as an interactive book entitled Toddler Treasury, the books are designed to entertain and inform young children.

“We were initially captivated by Katie Saunders’ exquisite illustrations and the simple humor which all parents can relate to. We are looking forward to launching Toddler Time officially at BLE this year,” says Helen Howells, joint managing director, Hoho Entertainment. “We hope to establish some key partnerships with licensees and retailers to develop a focused range of merchandise that is in keeping with the books' brand values and faithful to Katie’s gorgeous illustrations.”

The books have already sold 240,000 copies across 16 languages, and now the franchise is gearing up to expand with new book formats and entry into additional international markets over the next 12 months.

“Toddler Time has very quickly established itself as an international publishing success, and in the U.K. we are excited to announce the retail launch of the books in spring 2014 from award-winning children’s publisher Nosy Crow. We look forward to seeing the Toddler Twins enjoying the same success in licensing and merchandising as they have done in publishing,” says Jeffrey Nobbs, managing director, The Creative Studio.
