Here Come the Holidays: Hallmark Debuts Keepsake Ornaments
Card company remains a go-to place for licensed holiday décor and ornaments.
While many people loathe walking into a store in September – or even August – and seeing holiday decorations, Christmas décor is big business. According to Statista, the global market for Christmas decorations, including lights, trees and other items, was estimated to be worth over $7 billion in 2023.
Statista found 77% of respondents to its 2023 Christmas décor survey said they use ornaments to decorate their Christmas tree, making them the most popular seasonal decoration. People are always looking for new ornaments to hang. Among some of the most popular are the Hallmark Keepsake ornaments. According to the company, since the line’s inception, Hallmark has introduced over 8,500 Keepsake Ornaments and more than 100 ornament series.
For legions of those who love all things holiday, the Yule season is the most magical time of the year. Hallmark is celebrating with its Keepsake Ornament Debut, which began Oct. 12 and runs through Oct. 20. The final Keepsake Ornament event of the year releases more than 150 Keepsake Ornaments from Hallmark’s 2024 collection, including ones that come to life through innovative technology and new first-in-series releases.
“As a newer artist in the studio, I’m honored and excited to be working on my first series, ‘Cup of Cozy,’” says Iman Zadrozny, Hallmark Keepsake artist. “Inspired by warm, holiday feelings, future series ornaments will include a novelty mug, cookie and a special detail that adds a touch of personality – for this year’s gingerbread theme, I added a dollop of whipped cream with cinnamon sprinkled on top.”
Hallmark’s new Keepsake Ornaments are available to shop online and at Hallmark Gold Crown Stores nationwide. Shoppers who go to their nearest Gold Crown Store during Keepsake Ornament Debut can enjoy additional in-store perks, including special offers, bonus points and free gifts with purchase while supplies last.
Keepsake Ornaments, Hallmark
Last year, Hallmark announced the extension of its longest continual licensing agreement with the character brand, Peanuts. The five-year renewal allows Hallmark to continue to produce popular Peanuts products in multiple categories, including greeting cards, gifts and Hallmark Keepsake Ornaments. The long-time partnership between the two global brands spans 63 years in which Hallmark and Peanuts have collaborated to produce billions of products. This year’s Keepsake collection includes The Peanuts Gang Christmas Is... Ornament. The first design in the new series features Charlie Brown joyfully discovering the holiday cards and letters filling his mailbox. A heartfelt sentiment about the scene accents the base of the ornament.
From a licensed IP perspective, Hallmark’s Keepsake Ornaments offer something for every movie buff, every sports fan, every gamer and anyone who loves the holidays. Some of these new ornaments featuring licensed IP premiering at Keepsake Ornament debut include:
