IDW Publishing is expanding its long-standing relationship with Hasbro with plans for a comic book series featuring Jem and the Holograms.

The animated show "Jem and the Holograms" aired in 1985 alongside a toy line from Hasbro. The toy company announced earlier this year that a live-action, Jem and the Holograms motion-picture adaptation from Universal Pictures is slated for release October 2015.

IDW's ongoing comic series featuring the brand will debut in March 2015.
