HarperCollins Children’s Books Acquires Rights to The Violet Veil Mysteries

The gothic detective series for children has been acquired by HarperCollins.

HarperCollins Children’s Books has acquired world rights to a new middle grade series, The Violet Veil Mysteries by Sophie Cleverly, author of the bestselling Scarlet and Ivy series. The books will be illustrated by Hannah Peck.

The three-book deal was inked by editorial director Michelle Misra from Jenny Savill at Andrew Nurnberg Associates representing Sophie Cleverly, and Arabella Stein at The Bright Agency, representing Hannah Peck.

The first book, A Case of Grave Danger, will publish in the U.K. in paperback, e-book and audio in January 2021.
