The Collective has partnered with HarperCollins Children’s Books for a series of joke and picture books inspired by The Annoying Orange, in a deal brokered by the brands licensing agent, The Joester Loria Group.

The web comedy series and Cartoon Network show will make its first publishing appearance in the joke book Annoying Orange: How to Be Annoying this fall. The series will continue with the summer release of Annoying Orange: Halloweenie and five additional titles that will roll out through spring 2015.

“A breakout hit among the grade school set, Annoying Orange has a huge following among young fans of the web and television shows,” says David Linker, executive editor, HarperCollins. “We look forward to developing this new publishing program for young readers who revel in his cheeky sense of humor and irreverent sensibility.”

HarperCollins Children’s Books joins a burgeoning licensing program for Annoying Orange, which also includes an electronics line from Sakar, a master toy deal with The Bridge Direct, as well as apparel and accessories for young men and junior’s from Hybrid Apparel, LF USA and Accessory Innovations.
