Premavision/Clokey Productions has partnered with Papercutz to launch a series of comics and graphic novels featuring the classic Gumby character.

The new material will be based on the original “Gumby” television episodes. The monthly comic book series will feature a lead story and a five-page backup story, which will provide the opportunity for multiple creators to try their hand at the “little green ball of clay.”

The first issue of the “Gumby” comic series will debut at this year’s Comic Con International, July 20-23, and the first graphic novel format will be released in November.
