New book will showcase the world’s best in pop culture.

Guinness World Records will release an annual book for children, Guinness World Records 2016: Blockbusters!

The new pop culture-themed book will feature the records from some of the most recognized names from film, TV, music, social media, books, tech and toys. The new annual will also feature fun facts, trivia and new record-breaking challenges.

Additionally, Guinness will also re-launch its kids’ website with Blockbusters-themed content and will be fully branded with the new book design. On it, children will find activities such as polls, facts, guess the title, guess the character, competitions and quizzes.

This is the first new addition to the Guinness World Records portfolio since the company launched Guinness World Records: Gamer’s Edition 10 years ago. The new annual book is also part of the brand’s growth plan after celebrating its 60th anniversary last year.

“Guinness World Records celebrates superlative achievements in all its forms, and over recent years we’ve seen an increase in records that recognize the best in pop culture, reflecting the world around us,” says Jenny Heller, vice president, publishing, Guinness World Records. “We felt it was the perfect time to showcase these record categories together, and in Guinness World Records: Blockbusters! we have created a fun and vibrant book that celebrates all movies, personalities, music, books, tech, toys and more that our younger fans in particular follow and love. The book is released just in time to help keep our readers entertained over the Easter holidays.”

Guinness World Records 2016: Blockbusters will launch in the U.K. on March 10.
