The collection sees the designers on the list–Balmain, Dsquared2, MSGM, No Vacancy Inn, Officine Générale, Opening Ceremony, Stampd and Surf is Dead–reinterpret the classic Gap sweatshirt.
The range includes eight sweatshirts, one crewneck and seven hoodies created by the eight designers. "This year's collection spotlights the iconic Gap sweatshirt, with collaborations from menswear's most exciting names," says Jim Nelson, editor-in-chief, GQ. "It represents the very best of the Coolest Designers on the Planet program and the global influence of menswear in the thing we all want to wear: a classic sweatshirt."
The collection is available now at select Gap stores in the U.S., Canada, China, Hong Kong, Japan and Europe, as well as online at Gap.com/GQ.
GQ will make donations on behalf of each designer to the charity of their choice. GQ's Best New Menswear Designers in America project was established in 2007 and spotlights the best in menswear.
