Italian-based multimedia entertainment company Atlantyca Entertainment has announced the release of a new Geronimo Stilton graphic novel, The Sewer Rat Sink.

“It is with immense pride that we introduce this very special graphic novel,” says Abigail McAden, associate publisher, Scholastic Trade. “We are honored to be working with New York Times, USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Tom Angleberger on what is the next progression of the Geronimo Stilton publishing brand.”

Geronimo Stilton is an Italian children's book series that Scholastic Corporation has published in the U.S. since February 2004. Publishing rights to the Geronimo Stilton series have been sold to many publishing houses, with the books having been translated into 49 languages and distributed to more than 150 countries. The series has sold more than 166 million copies worldwide, and with 249 editions, it is one of the best-selling children’s book series ever written.

“So exciting to see Geronimo Stilton himself pursue this wonderful adventure,” says Carmen Castillo, foreign rights manager, Atlantyca. “We are so thrilled to be broadening our relationship with our friends at Scholastic on this exciting new endeavor, which we hope will introduce our beloved Geronimo Stilton to a whole new group of readers in a whole new way. Tom Angleberger has done an amazing job at putting his own touch and adapting Geronimo Stilton’s adventures that graphic novel fans are going to love.”
