Last weekend, the Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art celebrated the opening of Bobbie’s Meadow, a new section of the museum that homage to co-founder Barbara “Bobbie” Carle.

Members of the governing body and guests took part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Eric Carle, a scavenger hunt inspired by Carle’s book, What’s Your Favorite Bug?, enjoyed an appearance by naturalist Ted Watt, took in sketching sessions with local artists and a engaged in a special storytime and book signing with Caldecott Honor winner Brendan Wenzel.

The Eric Carle Museum of Picture Book Art is located Amherst, Mass. and aims to inspire art and reading through picture books.
