Encyclopaedia Britannica Adds VR Book Set

Encyclopaedia Britannica’s

exclusive licensing agency, has launched a new VR book set, titled

Britannica Virtual Reality Exploration

.

The six-book set includes a variety of information from

Encyclopaedia Britannica

as well as a virtual reality experience. Each set comes with a virtual reality viewer and instructions for downloading six different apps. Once the app has been downloaded and a smartphone is placed in the VR viewer, the reader can access a 3D environment associated with each book’s content–including interactive animations, videos, games and mores.

The six books will cover space, animals, dinosaurs, explorations, landmarks and oceans.
