Disney Plans 'DuckTales,' 'Tangled' Comics 2

Disney Licensed Publishing has tapped IDW Publishing to create two new comic books based on “DuckTales” and “Tangled: The Series.”

First, the “DuckTales” comic series will be modeled after the new animated series, which is coming out this summer, and will feature Uncle Scrooge and Donald Duck as well as Huey, Dewey and Louie. The first issue will launch this July.

Meanwhile, “Tangled: The Series” will expand with a graphic novel collection, titled “Adventure is Calling.” In the novel, Rapunzel will embark on new adventures with Flynn Rider, Pascal, Maximus and other characters. The “Tangled” graphic novel will launch this August.
