DC Thomson Consumer Products will be presenting global opportunities for its portfolio of iconic brands and a range of third-party properties at Brand Licensing Europe next week.

“The Beano” and its star characters Dennis the Menace, Gnasher and Minnie the Minx will lead the licensor’s presentation slate, which will also include the classic magazine property Jackie and food brand Maw Broon’s Kitchen.

As part of its exclusive BLE activity, the licensor will reveal developments for iconic property “The Beano,” which will see characters Dennis the Menace and Gnasher expand into the digital market.

In order to develop its third-party licensed magazine business, DC Thomson Consumer Products will be looking for new partners and brands to work with across its wide portfolio of magazines and comics, both in print and digital formats. The company has licenses with WWE, Jacqueline Wilson and has previously partnered with top brand owners including LEGO, Aardman, London 2012 and Nintendo.

The team will also showcase its in-house children's and women's magazines, as well as Puzzler Media’s puzzle magazine range.

"It’s been a strong year at DC Thomson, so we're incredibly excited to update the industry on key developments and present our ambitions at this year’s show," says

Tim Collins, head of brands, DC Thomson. “We will be using BLE as a platform to promote our unique dual position as a licensor of iconic publishing brands, and as a third-party licensee. It will be a great opportunity to showcase the real potential of our core portfolio and to discuss our plans for growth beyond the U.K. to new and existing partners.”
