Coolabi Group has secured a raft of licensing deals for its fantasy adventure brand Beast Quest, which is published in the U.K. by Orchard Books and owned by Working Partners.

U.K. publishers SkyJack Publishing and Pedigree Books are planning a variety of themed publications, while in the games space, Winning Moves U.K. is planning a collection of gaming cards.

The Beast Quest franchise boasts more than 100 books to-date and is translated into 30-plus languages, with 13.5 million copies sold worldwide so far.

SkyJack will release up to three magazines over the period of a year entitled 100% Beast Quest with the first due to launch in August in the U.K. and Ireland. A Beast Quest annual is also due hit shelves in the U.K. this autumn from Pedigree Books. Winning Moves U.K. will design and release a set of gaming cards to sit within its Top Trumps range that will also be available in digital form as an app. Both products will launch this fall.

“The Beast Quest franchise is starting to build momentum, and we are thrilled to be launching a series of magazines for the brand in addition to the game which we have recently announced with MiniClip,” say Valerie Fry, director of dales, Coolabi. “The Beast Quest audience will soon be able to enjoy the fantasy stories across a number of media platforms.”
